Class Description
Students in this course will be introduced to rope, rope hardware, and basic haul systems, which can be used in various aspects of rescue. The intent of this course is to provide rope and basic rigging experience for anyone interested in rope rescue, but particularly those who do not want to, or are unable to rappel.
Class Limit: 30 students
Student Needs: Pen/Pencil and notebook. Helmet with chin strap, eye protection, clean leather or work gloves, work or hiking boots, outdoor work clothing or coveralls, and a Class III Harness. FIREFIGHTER TURNOUT GEAR IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THIS CLASS. Also, helmet face shields are NOT suitable eye protection.
