Class Description
This is a practical exercise course teaching the actual operations performed by Rapid Intervention Teams and the techniques used to complete rescues of downed personnel. Because of today’s contents in buildings, construction techniques and environment; we are seeing more and more hostile fire events, earlier collapses and other situations that can trap, injure or kill our own. Come learn the techniques to rescue them. Student should be proficient in interior fire operations, especially in search and rescue techniques. A Butler County certificate will be issued.
Prerequisites: Mandatory: ELIF, EBM or FFI Certification; Recommended: RITC, SFR, ICS and SURV
Class Limit: 30 students
Student Needs: Pen/pencil, notebook, turnout gear, SCBA and a spare cylinder
